Purpose:
Apple Farm Service, Inc. is looking for an energetic Receptionist at the Covington location to provide an overall exceptional customer experience. As our receptionist, you will be the face and voice of this location. You will have the first opportunity to give our customers an excellent experience and ensure their needs are met, which makes you crucial to our team’s success. When you are not assisting customers, you will perform various duties to support other departments. As a receptionist, you would be the first point of contact for the company and you will provide administrative support across the organization. What you'll do:
Greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing guests and/or customers appropriately whether in person or telephone
Operate multi-line telephone system being first to answer incoming calls, greet and assist customers, and complete a variety of administrative duties.
Answer, and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
Occasionally obtain appropriate credit and/or payment for retail purchases
Perform other clerical receptionist and miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned
Primary Responsibilities:
Promotes Apple Farm Service, Inc. in a professional, honest manner (to include personal appearance and dress).
Greet customers and visitors; assist customers as needed
Assist, direct, and guide customers to appropriate departments
Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely manner; determine purpose of call and forward call to appropriate person or department Sales, Parts, Service (as needed) Accounts Receivable/Payable (phone payments with CC, invoice copy requests or other accounting questions) Human Resources (Insurance brokers, Employment Verifications, Payroll Companies)
Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
Provide callers with address, directions, store hours, and other basic information as requested
As a front-line worker, present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions
Provide information to staff and/or clients about special activities
Maintain the reception in a tidy and presentable manner
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
Valid driver’s license
One year of retail, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills
Basic business administration and accounting knowledge helpful
Knowledge of database software, computer application systems and ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal people skills.
Ability to speak effectively in one or more group settings
Pay:
-Pay based on experience and work ethic.
-Time and a half paid for any hours worked over 40 hr/wk.
-Raises offered based on performance and time spent within the company
