Important Updates to RTX, RTK X-Fill, and WAAS

RTK X-Fill Users

Trimble Corrections has changed X-Fill Satellite Frequency and Baud Rate for the North American Region. The new signal is an encrypted signal. A firmware update is needed to accept this new encrypted signal.

As of July 1st, 2019 the old signal was turned off. Without the minimum compatible version of firmware, your receiver will NO LONGER be able to accept the X-Fill correction. The X-Fill feature allows you to run guidance for up to 20 minutes if the RTK signal is interrupted.

Your RTK is NOT affected, ONLY the X-Fill feature is affected.


RTX Users

WAAS Users

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has removed PRN 135 from WAAS satellite operation as of July 25th, 2019 and activated PRN 133 as of July 22nd, 2019.   

GNSS receivers using PRN 135 on WAAS will no longer receive differential GPS as the PRN has been decommissioned by the FAA. Systems using PRN 135 with RTK or RTK. PRNs 138 and 131 are still operational as well as the newly added PRN 133.

This notice will affect Trimble Ez-Guide Plus, Ez-Guide 500, Ez-Guide 250, Trimble AG252, Trimble AG262, Trimble AG372 utilizing older software versions, FMX/FM-1000 utilizing older software versions, CFX/FM-750 utilizing older software versions, Legacy Ag Leader Receivers Including but not limited to 1000 receiver, 1500 receiver, 2000 receiver, 3000 receiver, 2500 receiver, 3000 receiver, 4100 receiver, 5100 receiver, 5200 receiver, GeoSteer, and Paradyme, etc. Many other receivers from all manufactures may be affected by this notice.

Symptoms you may notice are low corrections, no corrections, or loss of DGPS.
