Agricultural Fertilizer Applicator Certification
The Ohio State University Extension offices of Darke, Miami, and Champaign counties are hosting the required Agricultural Fertilizer Applicator Certification class on September 7th from 6-9pm at the Elizabeth Township Community Center in Troy, Ohio.
Fertilizer certification is required to anyone who applies fertilizer (other than manure) to more than 50 acres of agricultural production grown primarily for sale.
If you hire a co-op or other custom applicator for your fertilizer applications, you do not need this certification.
This training session will cover best management practices with a focus on fertilizer applications that have the appropriate rate, timing placement, and source.
There is no charge for the program, but pre-registration is required.
