We would like to inform all of our customers of the upcoming change to WAAS Satellite. Effective May 17th, all PRN 138 will be replaced with PRN 135. This change will impact all GPS receivers on WAAS. In order to avoid any downtime, we encourage you to update your systems prior to the May 17th deadline. If you are having trouble updating your equipment's software, please feel free to reach out to your local Apple Farm Service for assistance.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to fix this issue:
1.Select the diagnostics option:
2.Make sure you on the RDI screen. (Check the bottom left if you are not in the RDI screen).
3.Click on the right arrow twice, then the down arrow once on the main section of the screen. The text in the red box should say “GPS configuration”
4.Click on the right arrow once. The screen should say “DGPS configuration”.
5.Click on the down arrow six times. The screen should say “CFG:SBAS Satellite AORE”
6.Click on the right arrow once. The “E” on AORE should now be blinking.
7.Click on the down arrow until you find satellite 138.
8.Once satellite 138 is selected, click the right arrow.
9.Click the up or down arrows until you find the message “138 Disabled”.
10.Click on the left arrow. The 8 on 138 should now be blinking.
11.Click on the down arrows until it says 135.
12.Click on the right arrow.
13.Click on the up or down arrows until it says “135 Heed Health”
14.Click on the left arrow. The 5 on 135 should be blinking.
15.Click the up and down arrows. Every satellite should say “Disabled” next to it. The only satellite that doesn’t say “Disabled” is 135.
16.Click the enter button on the right side.
17.Click on the escape or ESC button three times. The screen should say “WAAS 135”
18.After 5-10 minutes, the top left screen should update from G/3D to D/3D.
19.You’re finished! You are officially updated to the new satellite.
