Last fall the Clark County Ag Society was glad to hear the news from Mechanicsburg’s Apple Farm Service. The neighborhood New Holland dealership would continue their support through the donation of a brand new blue tractor.
“We’re thrilled that Apple Farm Service allowed us to continue the partnership between New Holland and the Clark County Ag Society!” said Dean Blair, Clark County Ag Society Executive Director.
The non-for-profit organization received a New Holland Workmaster 75 tractor with a loader and bucket this June. They have been given 150 engine hours to make the most of the machine.
“This Workmaster has been a workaholic on our fairgrounds,” said Dean Blair. “It’s the perfect size for us! We have used it to dig post holes, move trash, mow grass, and about everything else in-between.”
Apple Farm Service has enjoyed working with the Clark County Ag Society in other various ways. The family-owned business has sponsored one of the fairground’s cattle barns, the fairboard member’s official polos, and even the neighboring Champions Center.
“Apple Farm Service is glad to help the Clark County Agricultural Society,” said Mechanicsburg Store Manager, Matt Apple. “Giving back to community organizations that match our mission has always been an important part of who Apple Farm Service is. Quite a few of our employees have fond memories of showing animals at the county fair, or instilling the values of FFA or 4H to their children. Thank you to New Holland to offering this program to give back to the local organizations that mean so much to all of us.”
The New Holland tractor has its work cut out for him! While the Clark County Fair might be over, the fairgrounds are packed with activities for the rest of this fall and winter! Horse shows, dog competitions, gun shows, collector shows, car shows, and more are planned out for the rest of this year.
